COLLEGE MATH
College math is a yearlong, dual enrollment course for seniors that is aligned with MS 205 at Thomas College. All students that complete the required paperwork in the first few classes and successfully pass the course will receive 3 credits for Thomas College. Students can apply to transfer these credits if they choose to attend a different college after graduation.
This course is designed to help students think effectively and analyze issues logically. Basic strategies of thought and analyses are emphasized. These strategies are designed to help students deal with real-life situations. This course is designed as a transitional course between Algebra and more advanced college mathematics, particularly Calculus I. Topics covered include: topology, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions and identities, and an introduction to analytic geometry.
* This course is for 3 credits at Thomas College. Though you do not have to pay to receive the credits, you must earn a D or better. To apply these credits at another university, most colleges require at least a C.
